Kindred Cons
If you love Splotter Con and/or can’t attend, we encourage you to check out one of these kindred cons, all dedicated to either a single publisher or series of games, intimate, and filled with great people.
Winsome Choose Some Con
Whether you’re a lifelong rail enthusiast or simply curious about one of board gaming’s most influential publishers, this annual Pittsburgh gathering is a treasure trove of Winsome games. Enjoy beloved classics alongside rare, out-of-print tube games and clamshell releases that are seldom seen on the table. Hosted by our friend Joshua, the convention regularly features Winsome founder and designer John Bohrer himself, teaching and sharing the stories behind these legendary titles.
TraXX 18xx Convention
If you love 18XX games — or want to discover why players travel across the globe to play them — TraXX is one of the premier 18XX conventions in North America. Held annually in Denver, CO, and attracting enthusiasts from around the world, TraXX offers several days of nonstop gaming, a welcoming community, and opportunities to play both classic and cutting-edge titles with fellow fans of the genre. Whether you’re a seasoned rail baron or curious about your first stock round, TraXX is a destination event for 18XX gamers.
Age of Steam Con
Age of Steam Con is the ultimate destination for fans of John Bohrer & Martin Wallace’s classic railway game. Featuring more than 200 maps, rare and hard-to-find expansions, massive XL editions, and a passionate community of players from newcomers to veterans with hundreds of games under their belts, it’s three days of nearly nonstop Age of Steam. Add great food, a unique venue, a free convention map for every attendee, and some of the friendliest train gamers you’ll ever meet, and it’s easy to see why this event has become a must-attend gathering for Age of Steam enthusiasts.
