Splotter Con Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Badges will be given to you onsite when you check in. It’s a small con so it will be easy to find us in Bridges, the main gaming area.
The short answer is: no. As a small con with rare games, we’ve decided against having children under the age of 16 in the event spaces. However, we encourage you to bring your family anyway as Pittsburgh has ample opportunities for entertainment for folks of all ages and interests. And the hotel has ample amenities.
No, one of the tradeoffs moving to a downtown Pittsburgh hotel in 2026 is that parking is no longer free. See the hotel page for parking options.
Splotter Con will feature multiple copies, some in multiple languages, of all 21 published games from Splotter Spellen, one co-designed by Jeroen but published by Z-Man Games, multiple games that influenced Jeroen and Joris, a growing number of games donated by our generous sponsors, and a local (Western PA or SC attendee) designs section. We’ll also have some of Splotter’s original VHS games on display. Visit our Games page to see our full library.
While we’re happy to support informal playtesting at Splotter Con, it isn’t a primary focus of the event, and we’re unable to guarantee a dedicated table for extended periods (or even a full day). This policy applies equally to all attendees and sponsors, with the exception of official Splotter content. Given our limited table space, we prioritize keeping games rotating and tables actively used for play or learning. We’re generally most enthusiastic about playtests that are Splotter-adjacent, such as fan expansions or closely related designs, and you’re welcome to list your game in our scheduling signup to invite interested players to join throughout the weekend. Looking ahead, we’re also adding a dedicated local and attendee-published section to our games library this year, should your project reach publication in the future.
You should have received an invite within your registration confirmation email. If you didn’t or it has expired, reach out to splottercon@gmail.com and we’ll send you a fresh invitation. When doing so, please make sure to include the name you registered your badge under.
